Correlation of quality of life parameters with personality traits and emotional status in patients who underwent limb amputation (with the focus to the age aspect)
The complex investigation of 276 disabled people (five age brackets) with impaired structure and function of the limbs including the investigation of quality of life and individual and personal characteristics is analyzed. The method of investigation of medical and social problems of the disabled people is based on the «International classification of Functioning Health».
Some features of links between patient's emotional condition, their characters and quality of life are founded. It is demonstrated that different age brackets of patients after amputation need different special programs of rehabilitation considering emotional, individual psychological features of patients as well as characteristics of quality of life.
